Kalysta Steiner is an artist based in New York City and a recent graduate of FIT.
Her work discusses childhood traumas, drawing from her own experiences to illustrate the complexities of domestic life. Pulling from a variety of source material-childhood photos of herself to photographs of early NYC- she gives the completion of adolescence a new sense of pride. Kalysta is navigating her own identity as it relates to her childhood and her closeness to her family. This sharing of experience allows her to discuss the early relationships that shape who we are.
